Camp Life
Camp Med-o-lark is every camper’s welcoming "home away from home!” Stunning trees and a sparkling lake greet you as you arrive in beautiful Washington, Maine. With the support of dedicated counselors, campers quickly feel at ease, so they can get busy having fun!
Campers are assigned a comfortable shared-space cabin where they can relax and make friends with their fellow creatives. Outside cabin walls, campers gather for delicious, buffet-style meals in the lively dining hall, where everyone can find food they love, including options for special diets. Plus, all-day fruit and local pickles on the dining porch! If campers need quiet time or a chance to read and relax, our new library is stocked with books for all interests and provides a peaceful escape. With a well-equipped health center on site and weekly laundry service, families can rest assured that Med-o-lark has every detail covered so campers can focus on making memories, building new skills, and enjoying all that camp life has to offer!
Cabins
A home away from home. Each cabin at Med-o-lark has its own personality with a unique setup and name. Bunk beds for all with a full bathroom with hot water, showers, sinks, and toilets completes each cabin. Dressers are also provided for storing clothing and personal items.
The Dining Hall
Camp Med-o-lark offers an extensive, buffet-style dining experience. The delicious assortment of quality and healthy foods made daily by our kitchen staff ensures that there is always something for everyone. Campers can choose what they like and return as often as they want. In addition, fruit, veggies, and local pickles are available all day for campers on the dining hall porch. Snacks are available in the evening.
Meals for vegetarians, pescatarians, and many dietary/allergen restrictions are available. We are a peanut-free camp.
The Health Center
Med-o-lark has a fully-equipped health center located in the center of the camp. At all times, it is staffed by at least three medical professionals: registered nurses and/or doctors. All medication(s) are stored and distributed by our medical staff.
Sheepscot Medical Center: < 10 Min. Drive
Maine General Medical Center (Augusta): 25 Min. Drive
Laundry
Camper laundry is done once a week by a laundry company. Clothing is washed, dried, and returned within a one-to-two-day window. Each bunk is equipped with an outside clothesline to allow for air drying of swimsuits and towels.
Library
Newly added, the Camp Med-o-lark library is a quiet place for reading and reflecting. We stock hundreds of books for every interest and reading level (including a few about summer camp hijinks), or campers can bring their favorites to enjoy in the peaceful space. It is also the perfect spot for campers who might have summer reading or work assignments to complete during camp. Our library is also home to our Dungeons and Dragons and Magic: The Gathering adventurers!
