Camp Life
Camp Medolark is a non-competitive, inclusive creative arts camp where kindness is the norm and individuality is celebrated. If your kid is quirky, artistic, or just doesn’t fit the mold, they’ll find real friends here — not bullies.
Set on a beautiful lake in Washington, Maine, Medolark offers a warm “home away from home” where campers share cozy cabins, eat delicious buffet-style meals (with options for all diets), and explore their passions in a supportive, low-pressure environment. Whether they’re making art, hanging in the Art Barn, or just soaking in the camp magic, kids at Medolark are free to be fully themselves — and they thrive because of it.

Cabins
Our charming and rustic cabins have 15-20 beds, each equipped with bathrooms with hot water, showers, sinks, and toilets. We provide dressers for storing items and as a community, we regularly work together to tidy our space.
We use window fans, not A/C, as most Maine nights are 70-78 degrees. All cabins have plenty of natural light and screens to keep the bugs out.
The Dining Hall
We offer an extensive, buffet-style dining experience. Our head chef is passionate about healthy choices so we offer baked over fried and made-from-scratch over frozen. We work with a local farm to source ingredients whenever possible. We have fresh fruit available at all times.
Top hits in our Dining Hall include:
Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup
Spaghetti with Meatballs and Garlic Bread
Korean BBQ Beef and Rice
Tacos with Beans, Sweet Potatoes and Chicken
Our camp is nut-free. We always offers gluten and dairy-free alternatives.
The Health Center
We have a fully-equipped health center located in the center of the camp staffed by registered nurses. From bug bites to the common cold, our warm and knowledgable nurses are available 24/7 to help make life at camp healthier.
We store and dispense camper medication.

Maine General Medical Center (Augusta): 25 Min. Drive
Laundry
Camper laundry is done once a week by a professional service.
Clothing is washed, dried, and returned within a one-to-two-day window. Each bunk is equipped with an outside clothesline to allow for air drying of swimsuits and towels.
We recommend you pack for 10 days.
Library
Our cozy library is a quiet place for reading and reflecting. We stock hundreds of books for every interest and reading level (including a few about summer camp hijinks), or campers can bring their favorites to enjoy in the peaceful space. It is also the perfect spot for campers who might have summer reading or work assignments to complete during camp. Our library is also home to our Dungeons and Dragons and Magic: The Gathering adventurers!
