Med-o-lark’s performing arts programs and activities put a spotlight on the talent that each camper possesses. First-time performers gain new skills and gain self confidence alongside the more seasoned performers who are delving further into their passions. Our staff is there to bring out the best in every camper while fostering an encouraging, collaborative, and supportive environment. At Camp Med-o-lark - inspiration is all around!

Theater

Med-o-lark’s Theater program is designed to suit campers of all abilities. From campers who have never performed on stage to those with prior acting/singing/dancing experience, our performing arts staff create an exciting, fun, and theatrical atmosphere while producing quality shows that campers are proud to participate in. Auditions are held for each show, play, troupe, and cabaret. If you audition, you are in a show! This allows first-time performers to feel safe trying something new and more seasoned performers to feel right at home.

Med-o-lark offers musicals, plays, a cabaret, and, for two-week campers, a one-act play festival. All shows are produced and performed on-site in the Theater, Coliseum, or Outdoor Stage. We also have many activities for those wanting to be a part of the behind-the-scenes crew.

Music

Music is an exciting and updated area at Camp Med-o-lark that’s been specifically designed for young musicians. All musicians are welcome to learn a new instrument, form a band and rock out, and record original songs. We offer instruction on a variety of instruments, including vocals. While the camp has plenty of gear, we encourage you to bring any instrument along with your enthusiasm!

A fully-equipped recording studio is available for campers who wish to record any songwriting, singing, or performing they have produced and created. Campers will showcase and share their talents with camp during talent shows, sharing nights, and end-of-session shows.

Dance

Med-o-lark’s incredibly popular dance program offers an exciting mix of dance styles. Campers can explore everything from ballet and ballroom to jazz and hip-hop with quality instruction that meets campers where they are so they can build upon their current skill level. Beginner, intermediate, and advanced groups are offered in each genre.

Campers can showcase their talents to the camp community at events such as the talent show, sharing night, and the special end-of-session Dance Show. The Med-o-lark dance program utilizes multiple indoor dance studios, an outdoor stage, and an indoor stage for special performances.
